Milton Winterfest set to bring Christmas cheer to community

Families and residents in Milton will be able to enjoy festive events, community meals and entertainment this Christmas as a community council prepares to bring Winterfest to the area.

The recently-formed Milton Community Council’s purpose is to bring people of all ages together and give local residents a stronger voice, while working alongside organisations across Milton. With household budgets under continued strain, it also wants to provide free activities that allow people to take part in community life without worrying about the cost.

Six people stand and sit in a community room with political leaflets posted on a noticeboard behind them.Milton Winterfest will feature a Christmas tree light switch-on, school choir, festive crafts and community meals at venues across the area. Plans also include Christmas activities for younger and older residents and a pantomime for all ages, helping families and neighbours celebrate the festive season together.

To help breing Winterfest to life, the programme has received a £3,000 donation from Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust.

Sharon Beck of Milton Community Council said: “The generous donation from Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust will go a long way to making Milton’s Winterfest 2026 a magical time. Not only will this donation provide for Christmas Pantomime and movie nights for all ages, but it will help  with providing Christmas meals for the community and Christmas crafting fun for the kids at the main event – the Christmas tree light switch on. The community of Milton are very grateful for Allied Vehicles support this Christmas.”

David Facenna, Corporate Culture Director at Allied Vehicles, said: “Christmas should be a time when communities can come together, and Milton Winterfest will give local people the chance to do just that. We’re delighted to support the community council and help families and residents across Milton enjoy the celebrations.”

The £3,000 donation will help Milton Community Council make its Winterfest activities accessible to people across the area, creating opportunities to share a meal, enjoy festive entertainment and celebrate Christmas with neighbours.
