If you spent any time at Allied HQ in Glasgow in December, you would have seen how hectic things were for the Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust. The dust had barely settled from Glasgow’s Spirit of Christmas, and the Community Champion awards, then to January with its own selection of charitable donations for the Trust to consider.
We have been so busy that we haven’t had a chance to share this heart‑warming story from December.
Families across Possilpark enjoyed a joyful Christmas celebration organised by community group Comfort Zone, giving local children a day filled with fun, food and festive cheer.

Comfort Zone supports families in the area throughout the year, and their Christmas gathering has become a much‑anticipated occasion. It creates a space for children to play, meet Santa and enjoy time with friends and neighbours, bringing people together and strengthening community connections.
In December, Comfort Zone hosted a festive fun-day for around 250 children and their families. The celebration included hot food and funfair attractions that kept the crowd entertained all day. A visit from Santa proved to be a highlight, with around 500 children receiving gifts.
The Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust made a £2,500 donation towards the event, which allowed Comfort Zone to fund the children’s rides and hot food.
Linda Dempster, founder of Comfort Zone said, “The contribution from Allied supported the kids’ rides and hot food which was such an important part of the event. We are happy to say that we distributed gifts from Santa to around 500 children and the entire day was fun from start to finish with families enjoying the wide range of activities. Once again, thank you for your important contribution to Possilpark children and families.”
David Facenna, Corporate Culture Director at Allied Vehicles Group, said, “Christmas is a time for giving to others and bringing some magic into children’s lives. Comfort Zone’s Christmas event gave families in our community a day of fun and magic to enjoy together, and we’re pleased that the Trust could support it.”
Comfort Zone’s festive efforts helped brighten winter for many Possilpark families, creating memories that will last well beyond the Christmas season.
