Allied Vehicles Group is continuing to strengthen its international presence, with significant growth across Europe under its Allied Mobility brand.
Over recent years it has built a network of 44 distributor partners spanning, across 14 EU countries – Germany, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.
In addition to this extensive distribution network, the company last year launched a new, direct sales strategy. This has involved establish new sales, administration and distribution teams in Madrid (Spain); Lyon (France) and Pardubice (Czechia). Similar expansion is planned for other major countries.
The European network plays a vital role in meeting increasing demand for high-quality wheelchair accessible vehicles. Each distribution partner and direct sales base brings valuable local knowledge and market insight, helping the organisation adapt to regional needs while maintaining the high standards associated with the Allied brand.
The recent acquisition of a new distribution hub in Lyon further strengthens this approach, providing a strategic base for the supply of vehicles in France, Switzerland, Southern Germany and Italy. The Lyon centre will also provide intra-EU parts distribution, to support partners and direct sales operations, while minimising post-Brexit customs delays. It also signals the company’s confidence in continued market growth and its ambition to further extend its reach across Europe.
For Allied, this is not just about geographic expansion, it is about creating opportunities. The company now numbers 12 employees on the continent, with ongoing recruitment activity in Spain and France, with additional employment created in engineering, manufacturing, administration, marketing, customer support, transport and finance, at the company’s base, in Glasgow.
As the business grows, so too does its need for talented people who want to be part of an ambitious and forward-thinking organisation. From engineering and manufacturing to sales, customer support and corporate roles, the company continues to offer rewarding career paths.
