Allied recently announced the recipients of our Living the Values Awards. Nominated by colleagues across the business, the Living the Values Awards are an opportunity to recognise staff going above and beyond and truly embracing our values of respect, collaboration, courage, passion and ambition.
Joe McGurk and Donald Grassick from our manufacturing department lived the value of courage – not only did they discover an issue due to defective material, but they also went above and beyond to come up with a solution and have it in place in minimum time.
Vehicle assembler Robert Dalziel Snr was nominated for passion – for helping new members of staff to settle in – Roberts’ nominator said, “his commitment to the team and department has shown him as an exemplary model of a colleague who lives by and promotes our core values.”
The respect award went to Debra Mackie from HR and Harry Extance from engineering. They were been nominated for supporting and always being there for them.
For passion, our Edinburgh branch parts/service manager Derek Alexander was nominated for living this value thanks to customers raving about the positive experience they have at the Edinburgh branch.
The award for ambition was given to Amber Kelly, a newer member of the marketing team who has embraced new channels, relishing the opportunity to take on more responsibility and learning new skills.
Congratulations to all these staff for living our values, we really do move people and make a difference to their lives.
