Allied Vehicles scooped a commended certificate for the Apprentice/Graduate Award at the s1Jobs Recruitment Awards in April. In its seventh year, the awards just keep getting bigger and better, recognising exceptional talent in Scotland. The event was hosted by comedian, presenter, author and scriptwriter Russel Kane at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow.
Michaela McIntosh, Allied’s recruitment advisor, commented: “We were delighted to be recognised and commended for our work with our apprentices, especially since we were up against some tough competition.”
Allied were up against BT, Chivas Brothers and overall winners Argyll and Bute Council. Sponsored by Whitecube Consulting, the award celebrated companies who have been recognised for developing new apprentice and graduate talent.
The Future is Bright
With over 30 apprentices at Allied, across manufacturing, bodyshop, parts, service and administrative functions, it is fair to say the future is looking bright at Allied. In the future Allied is going to be offering foundation apprenticeships for local school children, further developing the links with the future workforce.
