Allied’s manufacturing operations deliver up to 100 vehicle conversions weekly. The main production facility incorporates a number of key centres including:

    • Pre-production – Manufacture of vehicle conversion components such as floors, floor pans, ramps, grab handles, clamps and storage boxes
    • Parts – The extensive parts department holds relevant stock to meet anticipated vehicle conversion profiles, both from internal and external sources
    • Metal Cutting & Welding – Cut-out of base vehicle floors and welding of converted floor pans
    • Auto-electrics – Compilation and installation of specialist vehicle wiring looms and electronic components
    • Vehicle Assembly – The main production hall features separate production lines for each type of wheelchair accessible car/people carrier and taxi; minibus and welfare vehicle conversion takes place in an adjacent facility
    • Paint Shop – High volume vehicle paint booths, ovens and finishing are available in-house to support manufacturing requirements
    • Quality Control – Consistent quality attainment is a core driver for the business.  As such, the quality control section is the gatekeeper for all manufacturing output, ensuing that every vehicle is rigorously checked prior to release for customer delivery
    • Graphics – The graphics section produces a wide range of information and legislative compliance signs, together with exterior decals to meet company brand and fleet customer requirements

In addition to internal pre-production capability, vehicle conversion components are sourced from a trusted supply base, managed by the company’s skilled purchasing team.
