2025: A year of growth, innovation and giving back at Allied Vehicles Group

As 2025 draws to a close, Allied Vehicles Group is celebrating a year defined by innovation and growth. From new wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) launches to milestone growth and charitable giving, here’s a look back at a few highlights that made this year one to remember…

Cab Direct and Minibus Centre make their mark

Several black taxi vans parked near a stadium building labeled “Marriott.” People stand nearby talking or inspecting vehicles under clear blue skies with trees in the background. One taxi has its side door open, showing seating suitable for passengers or accessibility needs.MAXiCab took centre stage at Cab Direct and is now licensed across the UK in key cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol, Brighton, Leeds, Sheffield, Cardiff and Swansea. The MAXiCab London event at Heathrow Airport was another standout moment, drawing enthusiastic feedback and support from London drivers keen to see the model licensed in England’s capital.

The Minibus Centre also enjoyed a successful year. A professional photoshoot captured lifestyle images tailored to the sectors we serve, forming the basis of a brand-new brochure and refreshed advertising across multiple channels. The Centre’s website underwent a full redesign, improving both aesthetics and user experience, with new home, product and sector pages rolled out.

Driving innovation across our brands

Two smaller images below show her at a table with others and using a ramp to enter an accessible vehicle. Text reads: “MADE FOR MORE,” “Made for community connections | Made for Kitty,” with details about her wheelchair-accessible vehicle and contact information at the bottom.Allied Mobility launched the new Vauxhall Venture, supported by a multi-channel campaign spanning web, email, social and print. Their Made for More campaign was also front-and-centre this year, featuring prominently on the Allied Mobility website and across disability magazines and social media ads.

The summer saw four hugely successful Allied Mobility Days at venues across the UK, bringing customers and communities together, and allowing them to see our WAVs up close.

Our commitment to inclusion extended beyond products as we proudly sponsored GB Wheelchair Rugby and partnered with Jumbulance, a remarkable service that enables children with severe disabilities to enjoy holidays.

Across the water, Allied Mobility International reported a strong year, with orders up significantly on 2024. Our Spain direct sales operation is now fully operational and thriving, while preparations are underway to establish a direct sales presence in France.

Mobility Solutions steps up

Mobility Solutions introduced its new customer magazine, inMotion, and made its debut at Naidex, exhibiting alongside Allied Mobility. The team also participated in the Marvel Superhero Tri Powered Series, launched sales of used powerchairs and mobility scooters, and saw significant growth in England, with orders well up on the previous year.

The left shows a chaotic tangle of orange, black, white, and red cables scattered across the floor with a person’s legs visible among them. The right displays a tall black server rack with neatly routed cables and mounted network devices, creating a clean, organised setup.Building for the future

Behind the scenes, our IT team has worked tirelessly (sometimes into the wee hours) to deliver a major infrastructure upgrade, moving all servers to new cabinets and installing state-of-the-art self-cooling racks. Over 3,000 metres of redundant cabling were removed, and nine old server racks replaced with three modern units.

Fibre technology was introduced to support the refurbishment of the LSK building, enabling expansion in our parts department.

Work is also underway to integrate Sirus into the Allied network in the coming months.

Milestone growth in parts

Our parts operations continued their upward trajectory. Aberdeen hit a record turnover of £3 million for the first time, up from £2.9m in 2024 and £2.7m in 2023.

Edinburgh also posted strong results, with sales rising to £1.92m from £1.71m last year.

The Edinburgh team grew to seven members this year, and John McKee was recognised as a winner of the Living the Values awards.

Engaging employees and communities

Employee engagement remained a priority, and our communications team profiled 25 employees and eight departments. They tracked 141 press mentions and boosted our social presence with 686 new LinkedIn followers and 110 new Facebook followers.

Allied Extra proved popular as ever, with staff spending nearly £226,000 and saving over £13,200 via discounts and benefits.

Community support continued through the Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust, which donated over £225,000 to charities and good causes throughout the year. Staff referred 22 organisations which received £6,000 of that total.

Over the year 160 individual donations were made to 154 organisations. These contributions helped fund vital projects across Glasgow and beyond, reinforcing our commitment to making a difference in people’s lives.

Looking ahead

As we move into 2026, Allied Vehicles remains focused on driving innovation, supporting our people and strengthening our role in the communities we serve.

Thank you to our customers, partners and employees for making 2025 such a successful year. We wish you all the best of the season, and we can’t wait to see what 2026 holds.
